Antivirus7, or Antivirus 7, is rogue anti-spyware program from the same family as the Antivir rogue. This program is promoted through the use of web sites that pretend to be online anti-malware scanners. You will typically get to these pages through web pop-ups that state that your computer is infected and that you should run an online scan. When you click on this pop-up you will automatically be brought to a page showing an advertisement that pretends to be an online anti-malware scanner. When this fake scanner finishes it will state that you are infected and that you should download and install Antivirus7 to protect your computer.

When Antivirus7 is installed it will be set to start automatically when you login to Windows. Once started it will scan your computer and state that there are a variety of infections on your computer, but will not remove them until you first purchase the program. These infections are all fake, though, and the files it states are infected are actually legitimate Windows programs. Therefore please do not manually delete any of the files it states are infections as it may cause your Windows operating system  to not operate properly.

As you can see Antivirus 7 is very dangerous and can lead to a complete paralysis of your computer, as well as leakage of your personal data in the hands of the authors of the malicious program. Need as quickly as possible to check your computer and remove all found components of this fake antivirus program.

Automated Removal Instructions for the Antivirus 7 using Malwarebytes’Anti-Malware:

1. Reboot your computer, keep pressing F8 key and select “Safe Mode with Networking” with your arrow key. Press Enter key and your computer will boot in Safe Mode.

2. Download Malwarebytes’Anti-Malware (Download Link), (Malwarebytes’Anti-Malware information)install it and update its database to the latest. After that, reboot your computer to make Malwarebytes’Anti-Malware fully functional, repeat Step 1 into Safe Mode and run a full scan of your computer.

NOTE: If you have problem installing Malwarebytes’Anti-Malware Software, you can rename the installer to winlogon.exe or iexplore.exe. Then double click the program and follow the install steps.

3. After the full scan finishes, click “Show Results” to make sure that your important data are not infected and removed. You can save it if you like. Reboot your computer and let Malwarebytes’Anti-Malware delete all detected virus.
